How Do I Check Availability and Make a Reservation?

Click on the blue “Check Availability” link located on the left right hand side of our website for access to our online reservation calendar.   Select the room you would like to reserve and fill out the reservation form.  A 50% deposit is required for all reservations. 


Do you have a minimum night stay policy?



What other charges and fees can I expect when I book a room at Two Sandals?

A government hotel tax of 12.5% will be added to the total base rate.  In addition, upon checking in, if you elect to pay the remaining balance on a credit card, a 5% transaction fee will be added (the credit card fee is not applicable to the initial deposit).  Otherwise, we accept cash, traveler’s checks or cashier’s checks. 


There is also a $200/night charge for each additional person (including infants and children) beyond the maximum occupancy listed for each room (advanced approval required). 


What is your cancellation policy?

For cancellations made more than sixty (60) days prior to your check-in date, your deposit (less cancellation fee*) will be refunded.


For cancellations made less than sixty (60) days prior to your check-in date, your deposit will not be refunded however, the deposit (less cancellation fee*) will be converted to a credit that may be applied to your future stay at Two Sandals, subject to the terms and conditions of our Credit Policy.

Two Sandals does not take responsibility for changes to your reservation due to inclement weather, unforeseen changes to travel plans, personal sickness or injury, or family emergencies.


We highly encourage guests to consider purchasing trip insurance in the event an emergency arises that impedes your travel plans. A visit to to compare affordable options is well worth your travel investment.


Note:  If you made your reservation through a third-party website such as Expedia,, or Airbnb, you are bound to the cancellation policies agreed to when booking on their website. The cancellation policies on their website do differ from our standard cancellation policies. Any reservation made on a third-party website must be canceled through that third-party website and we will not be able to assist with any reservations/cancellations that are made through another travel website.   By booking directly with Two Sandals, you will always be better protected.



How far are you located from the airport?

It is an approximately 40-45 minute drive from the airport to Two Sandals.


How far are you located from the Red Hook ferry terminal?

Two Sandals overlooks the ferry terminal and it is less than a 5 minute drive away. 


Do you accept children?

Yes, we welcome all well-behaved children to Two Sandals.  Please note that our maximum occupancy for each room also applies to all children and infants and there will be a $200/person charge for each additional person above the maximum occupancy.  Advanced notice and approval by management is required. 

Two Sandals reserves the right to ask guests to leave early if their children’s behavior affects the comfort of our other guests. 


Do you accept Pets or Service Animals?

No, not under any circumstances.  We are big animal lovers but due to the lay out of the property and other guests’ potential concerns, we cannot accommodate your pets or service animals.  Pet boarding services are provided at the Veterinary Services of the VI, located in Red Hook (three minute drive from Two Sandals).   A minumum $250 penalty/cleaning fee, plus costs for any additional damages will be charged for any violation of this policy.


What time can I check in?

You are welcome to check in any time after 3:00 PM


What time is check out?

Our check out time is 11:00 am.  Out of courtesy to our cleaning staff and to ensure that the rooms are ready in time for newly arriving guests, our check out time is strictly enforced.  A late check-out may be possible with advanced approval if your room is not reserved for the following day and will be subject to a $20/half-hour charge. 


Are we permitted to stay on the property after we have checked out of our room?

Due to the lack of public restrooms, guests are not permitted to stay on the premises after they have checked out of their rooms.  This also allows us to clean and mop the common areas.  You are welcome to leave your luggage with us if you are departing at a later time and we also offer luggage drop-off service to the Red Hook ferry terminal for $5. 


What amenities are provided in the rooms?

Each room is air-conditioned and equipped with ceiling fans and cable television.  We provide bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes, beach towels, shampoo/conditioner, soap, and hair dryers.  A mini-fridge is also in each of the rooms stocked with bottled water, beverages and snacks for purchase.  We also provide a white-noise machine to help our guests have a restful sleep.  An iron and ironing board is available upon request.


Do you have complimentary WiFi?



What time is breakfast served?

A complimentary continental breakfast is served each morning on our balcony between 7:30-9:00 AM.  


I have special dietary needs.  Can you make a breakfast that I can eat?

We will do our best in accommodating your dietary requirements.  We offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.  Please let us know of any allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of check-in so that we have time to plan.


Can we drink the tap water?

We do not recommend drinking water directly from the tap.  The water is safe to brush your teeth.  Bottled water is available for purchase in each of the rooms. 


Are there things to do within walking distance to your inn?

Yes, Red Hook is within a ten-minute walking distance where you can find the following:

Red Hook Ferry Dock to St. John and the British Virgin Islands


Secret Harbour Beach is located within a 7-minute walking distance where you can enjoy swimming, snorkeling and restaurants located right on the beach.  

The majority of our guests traveling without a rental car are able to walk to Red Hook and Secret Harbor.  However if you have physical restrictions due to health conditions, you may want to consider renting a car during your visit. 


Do you recommend we rent a vehicle during our stay?

If you are staying with us for more than a couple of days, we strongly recommend renting a car during your visit.  This will make your vacation more enjoyable and give you an opportunity to explore different parts of the island without the hassle of relying on taxis that charge per person.  Please note that St. Thomas as a whole is not a pedestrian-friendly island with steep hills and very few sidewalks and walkways. 

You also have the option of taking your rental car on the barge to St. John (approximately $45 round-trip) for a day-trip.  Please check with your rental car company to make sure that you are allowed to take the rental vehicle to St. John.


Do you have on-site Parking?

Yes, we have plenty of complimentary parking on property. 



Is smoking permitted?

No smoking, incense, candles or open flames of any kind are allowed inside any of our properties. Smoking is permitted on our front porch only. There is a minimum $200 cleaning charge for violating the smoking/candles policy.
